Actor Saud
Saud (Saud Qasmi) was born in Karachi. He belongs to the Siddiqui family, which has its roots in the town of Nanota in Uttar Pradesh, India, and has played a significant role in Islamic scholarly works. His great-grandfather, Muhammad Qasim Nanotvi, was one of the founders of the influential Deobandi movement. His other great-grandfather, Hafiz Muhammad Ahmad, was a scholar, and his father, Zahir Qasim, was a renowned Qari and Naat reciter, known for his work with Radio Pakistan. His uncles, the late Shakir Qasmi and Waheed Zafar Qasmi, were also involved in these fields.
Saud himself is a Hafiz-e-Quran. On December 25, 2006, he married TV actress Javeria Jalil, who is now popularly known as Javeria Saud. Their daughter, Jannat, was born in 2007, and their son, Ibrahim, was born in 2011. He began his acting career in 1993 with the film Gunah.
Some of his notable films include: Love 95, Chor Machaye Shor, Hum To Chale Susral, Hawaain, Miss Istanbul, Khilona, Be Qabu, Hum Kisi Se Kam Nahin, Dil Kisi Ka Dost Nahin, Insaaf Ho To Aisa, Muhafiz, Zor, Do Boond Pani, Niki Jai Ha, Qaid, Jannat Ki Talaash, Chohdrani, Jug Mahi, Billi Banarasi Chor, Jihad, Majajan among others.
As an actor, he has appeared in several television dramas, such as: Yeh Zindagi Hai, Ishq Ki Inteha, Baby Baaji, Mohabbat Saat Rangi.
As a producer, he has worked on: Yeh Kaisi Mohabbat Hai, Jeena Sikha Do Hamein, Mohabbat Zindagi Hai.
